Sawyer Tree Service LLC. is a licensed and insured company servicing the Treasure Valley area. Sawyer Tree Service is run by John Marko, who has dedicated 23 years to the arboriculture industry, beginning his journey in the redwood forests of Santa Cruz County, California. Growing up in Santa Cruz, he developed a deep passion for trees and the entire forest ecosystem. Through his involvement in the local community, he built numerous connections in the arboriculture sector and fell in love with the profession and all its responsibilities. He started as a ground hand and, over the decades, advanced to become a high line climber and feller, all while maintaining his enthusiasm for the work. In 2021, he achieved certification as a certified arborist through the International Society of Arboriculture. After two decades of living and working among the redwoods of the Pacific West Coast, he and his family chose to embark on a new chapter in Idaho, ultimately settling in the Treasure Valley. Naturally, John wished to continue his work with trees, and after nearly three years with other local tree services, he decided to establish a new venture that could grow alongside his young family. This venture is Sawyer Tree Service, a company founded on a love and passion for trees, both in natural forests and urban settings. In 2025, John earned his Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) through the ISA, furthering his commitment to the industry by seeking new knowledge every day. He aims to provide thorough evaluations for every client's tree needs and inquiries regarding the best care for their trees.
